Spares Enquiry

Need replacement parts or consumables for an industrial chiller, cooling unit or process line system? Send a spares enquiry and our team will help identify the right item for your setup. We support sites in Alberton, Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, Cape Town and Rustenburg, with service across South Africa.

Tell us what your cooling system needs

When a chiller starts losing performance, the issue is often a worn part, a blocked component, or a consumable that has reached the end of its service life. A proper spares enquiry helps narrow this down quickly so you do not order the wrong item or keep a production line waiting. For laser cooling, mould temperature control and process lines, the correct part needs to match the duty, flow rate, operating pressure and water conditions on site.

From our base in Alrode, Alberton, we support plants that run through hot summer days, load shedding and coastal humidity. That means we are used to checking for practical issues such as scale build-up, pump wear, corroded fittings and control faults before recommending a replacement part.

Common spares we are asked to source

Different systems need different parts, but the most common requests are usually linked to routine wear, blocked water paths, or electrical control issues. If you are unsure of the exact item, send the sample part or a close photo and we will help identify it. In many cases we can advise whether the part should be replaced now or monitored during the next service visit.

  • Pumps and pump seals
  • Pressure switches and flow switches
  • Temperature sensors and probes
  • Contactors, relays and control components
  • Filters, strainers and water treatment consumables
  • Valves, hoses, fittings and pipework parts
  • Fans, motors and condenser related items

How to send a spares enquiry

The quickest way to get the right result is to send complete information with your enquiry. If a chiller has stopped, or if a spare is needed for planned maintenance, include what you know and we will work from there. Our support team will check compatibility against the unit details and the application before suggesting a replacement.

Before you submit, make sure you have the unit details handy. Even a small difference in size, connection type or rating can make a part unsuitable. That is especially true on systems used for moulds and laser equipment where temperature control must stay steady.

  1. Open the enquiry form on our contact page.
  2. Select spares or parts support as the reason for contact.
  3. Add the equipment details and the part you need.
  4. Upload images if the part is damaged, faded or unlabelled.
  5. Tell us whether the system is still running or already down.

What details help us identify the right part

The more detail you provide, the faster we can check stock, confirm compatibility and give you a practical answer. If you are not sure what to call the part, describe what it does and where it sits in the system. For example, a noisy pump, an alarmed control panel or a leaking connection can all point to different spares.

Please include the following where possible:

  • Chiller size or cooling capacity
  • Application type and operating hours
  • Current fault or symptom
  • Any past repairs or modifications
  • Whether the system runs on treated water, glycol or a mixed loop

On older installations, photos are especially useful because labels may be worn off or hidden by pipework. A clear image of the unit, control panel and affected area often saves a second visit.

Keeping a small spares list on site saves downtime

Many sites in Gauteng, KZN and the Western Cape keep a small holding of fast moving spares so a minor fault does not stop production. This is sensible for operations that cannot afford waiting through a breakdown repair, especially where the process depends on stable temperatures. A simple stock list can cut response time and help maintenance teams work more efficiently.

We can also help you decide which items are worth keeping on hand versus those that are better ordered as needed. The answer depends on run hours, water quality, dust levels, and whether the system is exposed to heat, vibration or frequent start-stop cycling. In some plants, a spare pump seal or sensor is enough. In others, it makes sense to keep a full backup component on site.

When a spare part is only part of the solution

If the same part keeps failing, the real cause may be elsewhere in the system. A pressure switch can fail because of poor water quality. A pump may overwork because of blocked pipework. A control issue may point to a larger electrical fault. In those cases, replacing the part alone may not solve the problem.

That is why our team can link spares requests with preventative maintenance, cooling audits, water treatment checks and system repairs. If needed, we can also look at temporary cooling while the main unit is being sorted out. That keeps production moving while the permanent fix is completed, and it avoids repeated callouts for the same fault.

Questions we get asked

What should I include in a spares enquiry?

Send the unit details, a description of the fault, photos if possible, and the site location. If you have the serial number or part label, include that too.

Can you help if I do not know the exact part name?

Yes. A photo and a short description of where the part is used is often enough for us to identify it or narrow it down.

Do you only supply parts in Alberton?

No. We support spares enquiries for sites across South Africa, including Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, Cape Town and Rustenburg.
